A WEREWOLVES TALE - SILVER PENNY
I've long been a fan of Josiah Deadflowers in all of his forms. Whether rapping with Chamber Records solo or with Spok as Speaker People, doing comedy as Salsa Brown or singing as Silver Penny, he's a vibrant humorous poetic artist.
Silver Penny is more-or-less a synthpop R&B side-project of Josiah's and it is dripping with a lighthearted sexual energy that anyone with a heart and some soul can't resist.
The Silver Penny persona is a mischievous lover, an amorous mystic. That the project is presented as "A Werewolves Tale" is wild to me- perhaps a reference to the wildness of the lover's hunt - but it wouldn't be Josiah if there wasn't a well-thought out and solid concept to the piece.
The Silver Penny project plays with classic rock lyrical themes and archetypes but with a modern electro-synth update with production mainly by Josiah himself with some instrumental assists from Boogie Jones like on the guitar part for "Runnin'".
