FUCK GROWING UP - FAJA THE POET
LFTD BRGD's Faja, as a producer of music content, has a friendly down-to-earth persona and that shines thru in this video captured by Indovisualz where Faja and his friends including Big Ear Ronnie go on a stony adventure that definitely reminded me of growing up. The music, by Shy Glover who I remember from some of my favorite Beezy songs, is a beautiful and modern thinky but warm piano based requiem for youth; Faja does a good job of riding the soundscape with the chorus in particular creating a nice balance of haunting catchiness.
He's always been a thoughtful poet on the recordings I've heard him on but here he's building up his songcraft repertoire with a resonant piece about growing up and trying to savor youth - relatable content from an introspective writer who is doing a better job with every release at reaching out and connecting with people with straightforward but emotionally intelligent music. I'm waiting for the project this is on for real.
