SPILL (Music Video) - PHANTOM THRETT

I love this vid. It’s so working class and earthy and I.E. and I know those are words I use a lot and that that’s the kind of content I tend to write about but don’t let my hack way of talking about it make you think the work I’m writing about is contrived because it’s not. In this Dirtbag produced feature Thrett visits a neighborhood garden store, smokes his corncob pipe, and breathes pensively throughout San Bernardino. The song is among the most important on his new record 26th Hour and contains the line I titled my review of that album after.

“So fragile yet so strong”

I’m a sucker for this kind of shit and I must also be hack once more and say this video gives new life and fresh context to an already very good song.
