TRABAJO LEVE (EP) - AYE BROOK
Aye Brook's new Spanish-language EP Trabajo Leve is an impressive treat of musicality and rhythm. I m not fluent in Spanish but the raps and beats come together kinetically in a way that has tons of beat and melody and most importantly momentum. As he is controlling the whole soundscape producing and rapping, he often blends himself into the songs with vocal effects and does cool stuff with the melodicism of the rapping, it's well-executed. The record goes by quickly and bangs, I bumped it in the day time running errands in the Dino.
The only lyric I can tell you back translates to "This for all of my people" and if he means people of the I.E., hip-hop fans and Latinos I think that sounds about right- knock this one.
