VIDEO OF THE MONTH: NO AIM by Ital Santos ft. Noa James
On their Tarantino shit
Wackoe Films has produced a fun short film with Ital Santos and Noa James on some I.E. Tarantino shit with Santos' latest single "No Aim".
In addition to having fun interplay between James, Santos and other Black Cloud/Punch Line Kings associates and favorites like Kast One and George Burns, the video has a creepy story-line featuring a sneaky assailant who meets a grim end and a Pulp Fiction-like shining MacGuffin to chase to boot.
All of that is a solid and polished foundation for a cool piece that allows for the cool moments that I dig like when the two MCs in successive parallel scenes bare their tattoos for the camera. This is one of Santos' first videos that exposes his eyes and Wackoe gets them close-ups on el Gato. The beads of sweat gathering on James' brow, the slow motion shots of his locks of hair as he headbangs. The panto-mimed lyrics and the MCs reacting to eachother. These details make this video stand-out as more than just an homage.
The song bangs with Big Mason's monster-synths, Noa's posi-mantras and Ital's honest venting about haters and life. Peep my pick for the end of the summer's video of the month!
