WTFISWRONGWITHYOU EP - D'zyl 5K1
In the tradition of Bob Dylan and Marvin Gaye (good company), D’zyl has released his divorce album.
To my surprise it’s just as much about the single(ish) life after divorce as it is the breakup itself and it’s remarkable how he packages this in a smooth easy-going boom-bap album.
I was all steeling myself going into this project thinking it was going to get intense but it’s really chill and wise and melodic and catchy and smart and a totally logical next step for D’zyl’s work.
The first 5ish songs on this are as strong a run of tracks as any album I’ve heard from anyone lately and advise bumping this while working out or chillin’ as the day ends but while the sun’s still out.
